Saw the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black as part of the Whitney Biennial on Friday. Kembra Pfahler is pretty much one of my heroes. (aside from the whole, you know, ‘having a strain of heroin named after her in the 80’s’ thing) I just have an undying love of over-the-top women who are unapologetic and unrelenting in their artistic vision.

Also, a friend of a friend recently approached her said “Hi Kembra,” in order to introduce himself. her response is amazing. “I changed it to Kem-BRO. See you in the BOYS room.”
