Ayahuasca Monologues II
I attended this last year when it was held at eyebeam in chelsea. it was alternately hilarious and harrowing, hearing from various people about their experiences with the powerful and sacred psychadelic. This year it’s being held at participant alex gray’s hall of sacred mirrors. The line was out the door an hour in advance last time and was filled to capacity. $20 is a hefty price tag but maybe i’ll fast that week in preparation. official event info to follow…

Following on last year’s successful event, we are pleased to present five new visionary stories about ayahuasca, the renowned sacred brew of the Amazon. For centuries, shamans have drunk this powerful concoction to heal illness, obtain mystical insights, contact spirit guides, and explore magical worlds. Hear of experiences both miraculous and terrifying when Westerners access ayahuasca’s incredible gifts. Music, dancing, and mingling will follow performance.
