As a requirement for my (perpetually tardy) forthcoming graduation from Hunter College, I’m taking a Weather & Climate lab this summer. The theoretical aspects are very interesting, but I loathe the labs. In my ideal universe, we’d get graded on storm hunting.

I can’t even fathom what it must be like to stand in a field and watch a huge shelf cloud roll in like a rogue wave. Here’s some rare cloud formations in another blog, they’re all spectacular.
